Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 October 2026
This policy explains what FitBelt collects when you use the FitBelt app and website, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email, phone number and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Profile: photos you choose to upload, your fitness goal and how many days a week you train.
- Training: workouts you create, copy or complete, the exercises and sets in them, and when you did them.
- Progress and rewards: XP, level, points, objectives, achievements, reward requests and point transfers.
- Gym membership (if a gym enrols you): your membership, invoices and payments the gym records, and check-in and check-out times when you scan the gym’s QR code.
- Gym chat: messages you post in your gym’s group chat.
- Ads: which in-app ads you collected points for.
- Security records: QR codes scanned (with network address and device type) and sign-in attempts, to prevent misuse.
- Messages to us through the contact form.
The gym map uses your phone’s location only on your device to centre the map; we don’t store it. The app does not include advertising or analytics trackers.
Why we use it
- To run your account, workouts, progress and rewards.
- To let gyms you belong to manage your membership, attendance and reward pick-ups.
- To send emails you need: sign-up and password codes, and temporary passwords for accounts a gym creates.
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse.
Who can see it
- Your gym: owners and coaches of a gym you belong to can see your profile, contact details, membership, attendance and the workouts they assign you.
- Other members of your gym: your name, level and rank on the gym leaderboard, and your messages in the gym chat.
- FitBelt staff who run and support the service.
- Service providers that host our servers and send our emails, only to provide those services.
We do not sell your personal data.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or as described on the account deletion page. Your account is switched off straight away. We then remove your name, email, phone number, photos, sign-in details and chat messages. Records a gym or FitBelt must keep for accounting, such as memberships, invoices, payments and point history, are kept without your identity.
Your choices
- Update your name in the app at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it through the contact form.
